Tradition and innovation go hand in hand
The renewal of tradition passes through new cultivation techniques. This is the thought behind the work in the field, where we make an eco-sustainable production together with technological research. The choice to live in a clean and healthy environment has been the first motivation that led Elena and Luigi to adopt integrated production techniques, according with the Measure on environmental sustainability of the Piedmont Region. The introduction of green manure into the land and the use of precision farming satellite technologies give the possibility to reduce the use of fertilizers; the photovoltaic panels supply clean energy and the dryer is powered by methane instead of diesel fuel. Not only these techniques respect the environment, but also allow to obtain a clean rice, with organoleptic properties that remain intact even after harvest, thanks to the storage in refrigerated low temperatures silos, which avoids the use of insecticides.
